Just in time for the Detroit Month of Design, The Detroit Center for Design + Technology welcomes the public join in for a special edition of DCDT Talk on September 19. The bi-monthly speaker series will turn its focus to the ways in which businesses can foster growth and diversity in design.
A panel of experts across the industry will talk openly and allow for audience questions. Moderator Karen Evans will ask how the design industry meets the needs of professionals who represent a wide variety of backgrounds. We’ll dig deep into this important topic, DCDT Talk: Diversity in Design will explore the ways the design industry addresses differences in race, gender, sexual identity and ability – and what work is yet to be done.

The event coincide with free access to DCDT CoWork beginning at 9 a.m. each day a program is offered. DCDT TALK programs are presented courtesy of the Hudson Webber Foundation and in partnership with its Design Incubator programs DCDT CoWork and Woodward + Willis, design studio.
