Design Dash Detroit: A super-fast introduction to design thinking workshop focused on built environments. The built environment has been defined as “the human-made space in which people live, work, and recreate on a day-to-day basis.”
Design Dash Detroit will introduce participants to human-centered design thinking methods, tools and mindsets through a brief design talk and interactive workshop. Teams will work collaboratively on a relevant, fun design challenge and share new ideas and opportunities together. Participants will learn some by lecture and most by doing, going through each phase of the design process in a short, high-energy session. Design Dash Detroit was created by BLOOM Strategic Design of Detroit specifically for small to midsize organizations, innovation leaders, entrepreneurs and creative teams in business and community. This version was inspired by the design dash process created by the Hasso Plattner Institut of design thinking in Germany. Attendees do not need to work in built environments to participate.
