“Jumuah at Masjid Al-Earth: Back to the Beginning” is an exhibition showcasing artwork by Black Muslim artists who were forced to create in their own homes during the pandemic. Covid-19 not only forced us inside of our homes but forced us to read imagine how we engage with community. Community is very important to the Black Muslim. Therefore what was once a jovial event held every Friday became an in-house event for 2 years. This exhibit features artwork from Black Muslims and explorers the concept of the Earth being our Masjid and how you don't need the same for a walls in order to glorify your Creator.
