‘Sphere of Influence’ is an outdoor installation taking place in Lafayette Park as part of Detroit Month of Design. The textile intervention consists of a large scale sphere-shaped quilt built into the shaded environment and open for public use. This community picnic blanket intends to encourage the use of green space in the city and to be a catalyst for spontaneous encounters.
