HFLI Initiative Awarded $50,000

“Developing Strong Black Male Educators,” an initiative by HFLI and Black Male Educators Alliance of Michigan, was one of six programs awarded $50,000 in the MBK Detroit Innovation Challenge this week. Design thinking is a powerful set of tools to improve teaching, leading and learning for students; using a phased approach, the program will build the skills and capacity of black male educators to use the human-centered approach in the classroom and in school leadership.
