Projects

Create NED and Restore NED

Nortown CDC is serving as a Fiduciary Agent for ongoing Restore and Create NED implementation projects. These include mini-grant applications for resident-business initiatives that foster creative and/or beautification projects in addition to clean up of blight. These endeavors have the capability of touching diverse populations that comprise Northeast Detroit and will help us promote the diversity and welcoming aspect of this area.

Aside from these Restore and Create initiatives, Nortown is committed to promoting the Milbank Conner Creek Greenway and linkage of the larger Conner Creek Greenway to other networks and redeveloping the 1873 Village of Norris with its link to Yellowstone National Park as a economic development engine to promote historic appreciation, tourism and a design center for art, music and environmental education.
