Cities Reimagined is sponsoring a public health poster design competition to help educate the public on how to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. We are calling on graphic designers and artists who can use their talents to help keep our communities safe.
The winning designer will receive a $250 cash prize and 50 prints of their poster.
In the late 1930’s under President Roosevelt’s New Deal, the Works Progress Administration employed hundreds of artists to create public health posters. Topics ranged from how to deal with dog bites to how to prevent tuberculosis. Public art can be a powerful tool for health education.
All submissions are due Friday, March 20th at 5pm EST.
