In the past few weeks, much of the world has united to stand against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The act of aggression towards a neighboring country, especially towards women and children, is disturbing and shocking. Design Core Detroit wants to express our concern for the people of Ukraine, anyone in Detroit, the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and beyond who may be directly or indirectly affected by these recent events.
Regrettably, Ukraine is not the only country experiencing war. Violent conflicts are taking place in many other countries. Moments of international turmoil highlight our interconnectedness. In times like these, let’s continue to lift each other up and find ways to support our local and global communities.
