Join us for the first Drinks x Design of 2026, focusing on Sustainable Fashion & Fiber Design, in partnership with Bamboo Midtown hosted at Jefferson Hub space.

Explore the intersection of fashion, materials, and sustainability at this edition of Drinks x Design. Centered on fiber and material innovation for slow fashion, the evening highlights designers who are rethinking how garments are made and what they are made from.

Engage directly with fashion designers through material demonstrations, process insights, and up-close presentations of their work. From experimental textiles to low-impact production methods, this is an opportunity to experience the systems shaping a more responsible fashion future.

Connect with Detroit’s creative community in a space designed for conversation, exchange, and discovery.

All ages welcome. Bar service available for guests 21+.

ALSO HAPPENING: MURAL EXPERIENCE
Mural experience featuring original works by internationally recognized artists.Guests will have the opportunity to view one-of-a-kind murals by Louise Jones, a Chinese American painter known for her vibrant, large-scale floral works. Based in Detroit, her murals have been featured in museums and public spaces across the U.S. and globally, blending elements of still life and landscape into immersive visual experiences.Also featured are works by Jay Howell, an acclaimed illustrator and character designer known for his bold, playful style. Howell is a co-creator of Sanjay and Craig and has contributed character design to Bob’s Burgers, bringing a distinctive and recognizable aesthetic to contemporary animation and public art. This offers guests a unique cultural experience, blending art, storytelling, and environment.

ArtPrize Pitch Night
ArtPrize is thrilled to partner with Design Core Detroit to present Pitch Night Detroit 2026. Five designers will be selected to take the stage for five minutes each, pitching bold, original concepts to a panel of five jurors—all competing for a $10,000 grant to bring their work to life at the 2026 ArtPrize event (September 17–October 3, 2026).
